Shopify Plus stores using a pickup point selection in checkout can now enable a server-side function to block the checkout in cases where the pickup point is not selected. This is an additional protection to the existing frontend block, which may not work in all cases.

We improved our app block that you can place on the order page in your administration. Besides showing the pickup point data, it will show a warning if the order is missing a pickup point (and a confirmation if an email reminder has been sent) or if the order is not a pickup point order.

You can now restrict the pickup points available to customers based on their type (such locker, post office, retail store etc.). For example, choose to exclude automated parcel lockers and only allow branches if you send large items.
