Does the selector work without Shopify Plus?
Yes. The in-checkout map is Plus-only (a Shopify platform limitation), but every plan gets the cart widget plus thank-you and order-status selection with automatic reminders.
Do I need my own Google Maps API key?
Yes. In the Shopify Plus checkout the interactive map runs on your own Google Maps API key. Setting it up takes a few minutes, and Google’s free monthly allowance (around 10,000 map views under its current pricing) covers most stores, even large Plus ones. Without a key, checkout shows the pickup point list. For some carriers, such as Packeta or PPL, you can switch on their own pickup point widget instead.
Can it handle high order volumes?
