How Life is Porno ships streetwear through Packeta and Mailstep with Globe
Life is Porno is an art and streetwear label from Prague. It sells clothing and accessories on Shopify Plus and releases new collections in drops that bring in thousands of orders within a few days.
Its orders are packed and shipped by the fulfilment company Mailstep. Globe has run in the store since March 2024: customers pick a Packeta pickup point or Z-BOX in the checkout, and Globe writes it to the order so Mailstep can take it from there.
In their own words
Thanks for this app. It solved our problem with Packeta widget (Zásilkovna) after payment. We currently have it directly in Checkout, and thanks to that is our Customer Care more efficient and faster processing of orders.

Packeta in the checkout, promo rates included
Life is Porno offers Packeta in its Shopify Plus checkout for both Czechia and Slovakia; Czech shoppers know it as Zásilkovna. Each country has four rates: regular, a promo rate for drops, and both again with cash on delivery.
- Under the rate, the nearest pickup points and Z-BOXes are listed by the address the customer entered.
- Z-BOXes carry a 24/7 badge, and most customers pick one.
- The whole network can also be browsed on a map.
- Picking a point works on every Packeta rate, promo or regular, with or without cash on delivery.

The pickup point goes straight to Mailstep
Life is Porno doesn't print labels from Globe. Mailstep imports the orders from Shopify, packs them, prints the Packeta label and ships. Globe adds the chosen point to the order's attributes, which Mailstep reads with the order.
- The PickupPointId attribute carries Packeta's ID for the point, PickupPointName its name.
- Globe writes them as soon as the order is created.
- The order gets the tag zasilkovna_selected, or zasilkovna_unselected when the point is missing.

When the pickup point is missing
Now and then an order arrives without a pickup point, for example from an express payment that skips the choice in the checkout. Globe then sends the customer an e-mail reminder with the nearest points to pick from.
- The e-mail carries the Life is Porno logo and is written in Czech, Slovak or English.
- It lists the five pickup points and Z-BOXes closest to the order's address, each with a Choose this point button.
- More points are on the order status page, in the same list as in the checkout.
- Once a point is picked, Globe fills in the order's attributes and switches the tag to zasilkovna_selected.
