How Dedoles offers pickup points in twelve countries straight from the Shopify Plus checkout
Dedoles sells its cheerful Bratislava socks across Europe, and every one of its stores runs on Shopify Plus. In twelve of those countries, from Germany to Bulgaria, Globe handles the pickup points: eighteen networks from Foxpost to DHL Packstation, with the map right in the checkout, whether the customer is buying in Prague, Budapest or Warsaw. Tens of thousands of orders a month leave with a pickup point chosen this way.

Stores split by currency, a fitting network in every country
Dedoles runs several Shopify Plus stores, split by currency. In the checkout, the customer picks the rate for their country and the map of the network that works there opens right below it.
- Dedoles.com in euros, with pickup points in Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia, France and Bulgaria.
- National stores for Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Romania, each in its own currency.
- DHL post offices and Packstation lockers in Germany, with the Postnummer asked for.
- Foxpost in Hungary, InPost in Poland, Sameday and FAN Courier in Romania, SPS and Packeta in Slovakia.
Custom logic
The custom part: a checkout they would rather not interrupt
The problem: Many Dedoles customers pay with Apple Pay and other express buttons, which skip the checkout and its pickup point map. Sending them back would cost the fast payments, so those orders go through without a point.
What Globe does now
Customers who pay with Apple Pay pick their point after the purchase. Anyone who doesn't gets the nearest one an hour later through Shopify Flow.

New markets: Hungary, Poland, Austria, and now Ukraine through Boxpi
For Dedoles, a new market is one shipping rate and a few ticked networks. Globe refreshes every carrier's points daily, so a closed location drops off the map on its own.
- Hungary in April, Poland in June.
- Austria through Spring GDS and DPD, the same afternoon they asked.
- Ukraine last, with Nova Post through Boxpi: one contract for over sixty carrier services across Central and Eastern Europe.
- Any shop gets the same: the Boxpi map in the checkout and labels straight from the Shopify admin.

Labels and emails are Dedoles's own, from one metafield
Globe prints no labels for Dedoles: every order drops straight into their fulfilment centre. Globe stores the point, and their own systems do the rest.
- The chosen point goes into an order metafield, and the shipping address becomes the pickup point's.
- Their middleware and their fulfilment centre both read that metafield.
- A Liquid snippet from Globe prints the pickup address in the confirmation email.
- Cash on delivery is theirs: a checkout extension adds the fee as its own cart line, and Globe leaves it out of its decisions.
