Write Your Own Checkout Validation Message

When the Pickup point validation (Cart widget) checkout rule blocks an order because no pickup point is selected, customers see a short message telling them to go back to the cart. But checkout has no back-to-cart button, and every theme hides the way back somewhere else — so the message now belongs to you.

In Settings → Cart widget → Widget text translations, each language has a new Checkout validation message field. Tell customers exactly how to reach the cart in your store — "tap the cart icon in the top right", for example — and the checkout error says just that. Leave the field as it is and the built-in wording keeps doing its job.

The field lives next to the other widget texts, so it's translated per language like everything else, and customers get it in the language they shop in.

Using the rule for the first time? It's switched on in Shopify Settings → Checkout → Checkout rules — the field's Open checkout settings link takes you straight there.
