Require a Delivery Choice Before Checkout

Orders that arrive with no pickup point chosen are a familiar nuisance: someone has to write to the customer, wait, and only then hand the parcel over.

A new optional setting closes that gap in the cart. Switch on Require a delivery choice before checkout in Cart widget → Advanced settings, and the checkout button stays dimmed until the customer has picked home delivery or a pickup point. Clicking it shows a short message under the delivery cards instead of moving on.

• It only applies where the delivery cards are actually on screen — a cart without them checks out exactly as before
• The moment a choice is saved, the button returns to normal
• The message is yours to word, in every language you sell in

Test a real checkout on your live theme after switching this on. The setting takes over your theme's checkout button, and a theme that drives that button its own way can leave it inactive. It is also unlikely to work alongside another app that controls the same button — a terms and conditions checkbox, for example.
